GREENS SALE DISCUSSION:
We have sign up sheets on the front table and are still looking for a couple of volunteers to make indoor arrangements on the evening of December 4th, starting about 7:00 pm.
On Thursday, December 5th will be the night we make wreaths and swags and the wreaths will be delivered in the morning to be placed at the tables for the workers who arrive in shifts, at either 2:00 or 6:00 pm. We are looking for a few volunteers to be table captains and to gather up all the embellishments that each table will need, using the items that we will have laid out for each wreath type and to provide some guidance to the new wreath makers. Please see me before you leave tonight so we know when to expect everyone. Their will be plenty of food being brought in by various members so you won't be hungry while working. As always we are looking for freshly cut greens; branches of pine, fir, balsam, juniper, spruce, arbor vitae, boxwood, euonymous, yew, and of course winterberry and holly. So if you can provide any of these items, please sign the sheet so we know what to expect.
The bags can be brought to the back door of the church starting Wednesday morning if you just want to leave them. Even if you cannot help out on any of these three days, we would appreciate it if you could all take some posters to hang in various stores and business, and some small flyers to hand out to friends and neighbors.
Anita Fasano, Program Chair, introduced the speaker, Cynthia Lewis who demonstrated the proper way to make wreaths, swags, mantel and decorations for the holiday season.
The meeting adjourned at 9:00 pm.
